What is the DP?
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous, academically challenging and balanced programme of education designed to prepare students aged 16 to 19 for success at university and life beyond. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge in a wide array of subjects. It leads to a qualification that is widely recognized by the world’s leading universities.
The DP curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay.
